> advice before I begin installing a TwinTurbo 128 card into my 7600 mobo ?

Don't know what a mobo is but I have a 7600 and the card you mentioned (from
Ebay with no software), I just pressed it into a spare PCI slot connected up
a screen it and presto, my second screen was running. I was running 8.6 with
an XLR 8, 333 Mhz upgrade chip.

But there is fancy stuff. See the PDF manual on line at
http://archaic-apples.shauny.de/files/mac/manuals/Power_Computing/pccmanual/
TwinTurbo.pdf

Mine had an empty video ram slot - looked like the normal video ram that
goes into the video ram slots on many Powermacs. It takes optional extra ram
but not all brands that fit the Powermacs motherboards fit the card. The PDF
manual tells you what brands fit and what do not ... I would not mind
knowing myself what the effect would be of putting such optional ram on,
would it make it faster? (mine is not real fast! In fact, to scoll a long
list I flick the window to my other screen (on the video ram of my 7600)
when I lose patience. Slow scrolling is the only limitation to bother me.

Hope this helps and I have not completely got the wrong end of the stick!
