What kind of USB does the card have? USB 2.0 is NOT supported in any OS below X (I've even heard that of the flavours of X, only Jaguar supports 2.0). If it's USB 1 then make sure that it's OHCI compliant and then in OS 9.X and below (up to 8.6) you need to install the USB card adapter extensions from Apple. You only need to do this IF your Mac DOES NOT have built-in USB ie. any PCI Mac pre-B&W. Go to the support pages on Apple and choose downloads and type in USB. It should be the first link that appears. For USB2.0, OS 9.2.2 gives me a message on my B&W saying that a USB Port is drawing too much power and that port needs to be shut down. Mind you the firewire still works. In Jaguar I've had no problems. I haven't tried the port as USB2 but it works great with regular USB devices ie. my optical mouse, downloading images from my digital camera. -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
