Peter, the closest I have to a heat gun would be a hair dryer, is it worth
trying? I'm handy, but pretty low tech and definitely low funds :) so I'm
trying to spend little (if any) money by finding creative solutions to not
having the correct tools on hand...

Is this the same (or similar enough) to 3-in-1 oil? I think that's WD-40's
brand name for it, but its listed as a "multi-purpose" oil and there is not
much else on the can other than uses (oddly, oiling your power supply fan is
not listed <g>)  I have this type already and would hope that I could use
this even if it would produce better, if not optimum, results.
