Referring to Drop Stuff, at 16:48 +0100, 3/23/03, (k) eloquently elucidated:

I tried to stuff a copy of my systemfolder - it ended with dropstuff
trying to stuff the entire disk that the folder was on, I moved it
around to other disk/partitions and tried dropstuff 5 & 6 and OS 8.6
& 9.1, still the same result, when trying to stuff the systemfolder
it stuffs the entire disk instead. I have given it up and left a
backupcopy umstuffed, but does anyone know why ?

The only question which pops to my (alleged) mind is whether you "dropped" the syetem folder on dropstuff or tried to do it from within the app?
