Thanks Robert :) I found this at versiontracker but they appear to have
their own website at www.tattletech.com as well. This has been very helpful
and I'm glad for the suggestion.

Now I'm having an issue where tattletech only reports 2MB of VRAM even when
I have 4 sticks in (I got 4 new sticks yesterday).  I am on OS8.6, and I
have no other other way to confirm VRAM total (system profiler doesn't give
me that in the memory detail section).

So I don't know whether this is a tattletech issue or my VRAM bank 2 just
doesn't work. I have 3 pairs of VRAM (SEC, Tosh1, Tosh2 for nicknames)
sticks and here is what I have tried:

* each pair in bank 1 = "success" (video ok, TT reports 2MB installed), so
all VRAM sticks test out fine

* SEC in bank 1, Tosh1 in bank2 = vid ok, but TT says only 2MB

* Tosh1 in bank1, SEC in bank2 = vid ok, but TT = 2MB

* Tosh1 in bank 1, Tosh2 in bank 2 = same as above.

I checked that these were seated properly before each test, and the only
test I did not run was filling only bank 2 (I didn't know whether it is
supposed to work or not, so a failure would tell me nothing without further
info).

So...TattleTech issue? Or bank 2 problem?

and how would I find out? Will the PM8500 work with only bank 2 VRAM slots
filled? Other ways of reporting VRAM (other than 9.x ASP or TT?)

TIA!
Caitlin
