You will get that message from a site which _knows_ they have used facilities only available in certain browsers, then check when you arrive to see if you're 'up to it'. Elegant degradation would mean you could use eg. Lynx (text only, try Googling for MacLynx) - invaluable for visually impaired folks - and still get _something_ worth using. -- Take care .....
