Are the cases the same size? And the boards? I thought a 3 slot board would go into a six slot case, but that the six slot board was too big for a three slot case? >> The 8600 case and power supply *is* the 9600 case and power supply. The 9600 case contains extra sets of mounting latches (unused in the 9600) which are used in the 8600. The M3.5-0.5 retaining screw is in the same location for both.
