I have had no problems at all installing and using 9.1 on my 7300/200. It is a seamless and smooth operation. Something must be interfering with your install. It is not the machine.
I will give this 7300 to a Samoan family I have adopted. Two of the children have been here to do their papers for High School. I know this family of 6 children will get much good use from this machine. I will soon be using the beige G3 DT. Now that will take some getting used to.
