Howdy Y'all, I have been trying for sometime to get comfortable with my 8500
so I can leave my wife and her windows machine alone. I accomplished the
final steps, for now, by getting my Usb card installed to sync my Visor.
Trouble is, Several of the apps that I was able to use by sycing under
Windows aren't available for the Mac. The avantgo software for the Mac does
not recognize Handsprings proprietary hot sync at all, and I can't
synchronize any mail; neither with a regular client like god forbid outlook
or with onemail which was the other I used in Windows. I did some searching
and found that neither Microsoft or any other company supports mail sync on
a Mac with outlook, and the programs that sync Eudora are written
exclusively for X. Am I stuck using my visor for games and addresses, or
does someone out there know something I haven't found out yet? Am I going
to have to learn how to write programs so I can tweak all these apps to fit
my needs? Incidentally, I realize some folks may think this is a little OT,
but I don't think so since the programs I am looking for would actually have
to run on my PCI 8500 G3 333 running 9.2.1.
TIA B
