I have a quick question...

I am formatting some 4gb SCSI drives, using Silverlining 5.8.3. Why does it
take the UltraSCSI, 68-pin, 7200rpm [Seagate Barracuda] drives AN HOUR to
format, and just 5 minutes for the 50-pin [IBM DDRS-34560] ?

Is it possible that the 50-pin drives are faster than 7200rpm?

Both drives are being formatted on my PMac 7300/132, with a 68-pin to 50-pin
adapter on the UltraSCSI HDs.

Thanks,
Craig W.
