Gave up on running X and I am back to using 9 in my mutated 8500. I've put the logic board, PSU and all the drives in an old AST PC server case (3 HDs, 2 cds & 2 fans) with one hacked power supply that I am afraid is going to give out.
Long to short here, what wire on the PSU to logic board cable set is the one that turns on the power supply when you press the power button on the keyboard? I was planning on throwing another 8500 power supply in there to take some of the load off the original but I don't want something that I would have to manually switch... I used to power drives with a 660AV power supply but the extra step with the button and all was annoying, especially when I could just wire these two wires together so pressing the power button on the keyboard (only working one left, one on the logic board is inaccessable) turns them both on at startup.
Is this possible?
Thanks, Rik
