I figured out how to get the Mac to use the HP 4050 that I have connected to
the network via the NetGear PS110 print server. If anyone is interested -
here's how I did it.

I disabled NetBuei on the PS110 per Net Gear's suggestion, then used the HP
Utility software to create a desktop printer as an LPR connection with the
IP address of the NetGear PS110 and a Queue name of the printer attached to
the print server (HP4050). I then made it the default and viola - I can
print to the HP 4050 as a LaserWriter 8 device.

It still doesn't show up in Chooser because it's not in one of the AppleTalk
'Zones', but that's OK, since I can print to it anyway.

Isn't technology wonderful?
