One device should supply term power on the bus. I usually have the last device
in the chain supplying term power. In as far as device type to ID mapping is
concerned, there are no fixed rules. I for one always have HD on 0 - 3, CD and
CD writer on 4 and 5, and scanner on 6. Note that ID has no relation to the
device position on the chain. Termination must be applied on the last device
of the chain.

O.K. So, I reckon this weekend I will redo the whole SCSI Bus. One more
question though. Does the first ID on the Bus need to be connected to the
first connector on the ribbon? Or does that matter? Do you set the ID's
according to the location on the SCSI ribbon?

One more final question. On the CDROM, do the pins that say "term power"
need to have jumpers on them if they are last on the chain?
