I want to upgrade my PPC7200/90 to OS 8.6 so as to use USB ports and was trying to figure out the cheapest way to do this?
Been searching Ebay and found the upgrade packages for sale but I am thinking that you need 8.5 to upgrade to 8.6? As it is now I have a butchered version of 8.1.
Any suggestions?
You will need to acquire a copy of OS 8.5. My only suggestion would be to make sure you acquire a retail copy - not a machine specific version. The update to 8.6 is available as a free download from Apple.
