No, but it is certainly possible that the drive will not be recognized by 
Drive Setup as the drive model is different for, say, an SCA or an UW-SCSI than a 
F-SCSI ... Seagate ST-15150FC or ST-15150W vs. ST-15150N, for example.

Actually the ST-15150xx is perhaps a poor example as this is one of Apple's 
specifically supported drives, but the theory is the same.

You would most likely get into trouble with something like a Fujitsu or a 
Western Digital drive.

I've had to ResEdit Drive Setup to add support for both Fujitsu F-SCSI and WD 
UW-SCSI drives.
