The maximum OS for a non-upgraded 7200 is OS 9.1. NuBus Macs (which the 
7200 isn't) need the CD-ROM updates, not a downloadable update. That's the 
only limitation I know of for installing OS 9 on earlier machines.

Of course, maxing out the RAM is a good idea when going to the highest OS 
allowed. With 128MB, it should work, but 512MB would work a whole lot 
better. It's amazing how much better my post-7200(7600)G3 Mac works far 
better after I moved up to 512MB. Next step: over a gig of memory.
