I have the same setup. Here are my observations:

The TT is not as fast as the onboard. There is noticable choppiness when
the tuner display is on the TT128 powered monitor.
The tuner requires thousands of colors. Set to millions gets black screen.

Suggestion:

Use the TT to run one monitor and the onboard to run the TV on another
monitor.
