This message written: Saturday, 21 June 2003 12:49:38 PDT Browsing one of my "haunts" today I obtained a Retail Version of OS X (10.0), in box, with license and all. Now, what to do!?
I would like to learn it on my trusty desktop before thinking about installing it on a Wallstreet/300. The package says "Processor upgrade cards not supported" though I know that many folks run it on such machines. My most used machine is a 6360 with a NewerTech 400Mhz upgrade and 136mb RAM. I suppose the RAM is a bit on the small size, but this would primarily be a learning exercise rather than for primary use. I have a 30gb disk with three 10gb partitions formatted with HFS+. I would like to install OS X on one of the nearly empty partitions. I would appreciate advice/guidance on this "exercise" as, while I have been using Apple systems since the ][+ and Macs with systems from 6 through 9.1, I know virtually nothing of OS X. HELP!
