I need help installing a Color OneScanner 600/27 on my 8600/300 running
OS 9.1. I looked up the software on the Apple web site, but all I found was
a patch driver. I think it was called Onescanner ver. 4.3. I installed it.
Now I have the scanner extension in the extension manager, but I don't see
any way to start the scanner. There is no program to start that makes the
scanner work.

I take it you bought this used with no documentation or install CD. Look around some more online at the Apple website. My 2 Umax scanners use Vistascan and my Epson uses a different control program. Both are TWAIN compliant. But I don't know if one would run the other.

On versiontracker yesterday I saw a scanner control program in shareware. you might try that.

You might just try a graphics program if you have extensions installed. Photoshop accesses my scanners with plug ins. Your Imaging program provider or third party websupport may have plug-ins for this model.

Or perhaps some kind soul with one of these could send you the bits and pieces you need.
