Not in crash situations only . I'm using programs which flush the cache and scrub the RAM every few mins. These progs too put a RescuedItemsFolder in the Trash (probably when flushing or scrubbing poorly written programs). Not much to worry about in those cases. If you want to retrieve text from your cache/memory check "Search & Rescue" (awsome)(http://www.btinternet.com/~chiswick/) and TASK (for OSX/UNIX).
