Has anyone ever tried dialing their ISP long distance using a phone card?
I'll be at a location away from home where there is no long distance service, and I have a cheap phone card. Not worth paying for a month's service for something like earthlink or AOL (God forbid). Just wanna check my mail a couple times a day, and send a little out for a couple days duration.
Works fine.
Might be easier and cheaper to open a limited Earthlink account or an AOL account. Earthlink has a low-hour account that's dirt cheap, and local numbers all over. AOL has umpteen hour accounts that are free, and local numbers all over.
Maybe add the whole string of numbers into Remote Access, and insert pause commands at the appropriate places in the modem string?
Do I know what I'm talking about? Not really.
This would be in OS 9 I need it for.
Just add commas to the phone number. Each comma will produce up to a three second pause (depends on the modem; some do one sec, some do three).
