This was the #1 gripe with the apple video application - you had to reset the sound input preference every time (via the control strip) prior to opening the app. Apple never did do anything about it. Saw a Doc on the knowledge base once that called it "normal". Also, some info I once read at www.6400zone.com suggested throwing the sound manager extension in the trash for good. Didn't work for me, but others claimed it worked for them. If you have a script to fix that, yea I would be interested - TIA, since I 'm in the process of putting 9 on a comp for one of my kids.
