Thanks to all of you that responded to the USB card problem; the computer now recognizes the card. Now my question is: what usb printer should I get. It would be nice to have one of the multi-purpose, but I have heard that they were not reliable. What would you on the list recommend for a color printer? Home use, no business, but I use a printer quite a bit. Thanks for recommendations. I use a 7600/200 with 160 Megs RAM and a 4 gig hard drive and running OS 9.1.
The Multipurpose devices are reasonably reliable, but they have more parts to break, and if they break, all your peripherals are broken. It's more of an all the eggs in one basket sort of thing.
Epson's are pretty reliable, in my experience, so long as you stay away from the very lowest end ones. Getting a printer with separate tanks for each color costs more initially, but saves you money in the long run, as you replace individual colors as needed.
Printer cost is generally directly proportional to printing speed, and printing quality.
