Hi, I have a 7200 with a 4GB SCSI HD, a SCSI CD-ROM, and a Sonnet Tempo
Ultra ATA66 PCI card. I just recently got the card and I've been having
problems getting OS 9.1 to recognize anything attached to it (actually all
the OSes below X have difficulty working with drives connected to the card).

The reason I got the card was because I believe the faster SCSI port went
belly up last year and I've been using the slower port ever since. Every
time I connected a drive to the faster port and I boot up the machine
nothing happens. The slower one at least works fine. I want to use iMovie
and I keep getting errors when trying to view even a clip -- I get the
message that my disk is too slow. As well 4GB doesn't cut it when wanting
to edit video so I need the large drives.

So I have this ATA 66 card and I've attached a 40GB Maxtor HD to it. In
9.1, the damn OS only sees the drive in the drive setup BUT keeps failing
when I try to initialize it (extended and standard trying different
partition sizes). In Jaguar everything seems fine (I'm using the 4GB drive
as the boot drive). I can even use the ATA CD-ROM in X BUT I can't boot
from the CD-ROM (even though it's a pull from my B&W).

I know the card works fine since I tried it in my B&W and OS 9.2 and Jag
were able to work with anything that was attached to it. The drive itself
is fine since I was able to work with it in Jag. Anyone know what the heck
is going on with the card or with my 7200? I've also moved the card to all
3 PCI slots and each time I get the same results. BTW I have a RAGE 128
video card in one of the PCI slots.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the length of my message.
