Sorry about the confusion. And the delay in responding, I'm in digest mode.

I've had portview for a while, sorry don't remember where I got it. Might
have been somebody's web archive for forgotten software. I checked
versiontracker, no luck. I'll send a copy to whoever wants it. Its only a
few k's.

Applications enable the port as needed, sometimes they don't release the
port when they quit or crash.

The extension may have been corrupted. (Brain fart couldn't think of
corrupted).  ;)
