My 7300 is running Jaguar right now. I took the USB2.0/Firewire combo cardMake Love ,NOT War and Hate
from my B&W and put it in the 7300. The card worked just fine in the B&W
(digital cameras, optical mouse, all worked on the USB 2.0 ports under
Jaguar -- but of course only as USB1). However in the 7300 the optical
mouse would light up briefly then nothing. The digital camera would power
up and flick off and on and it will not mount (all under Jaguar -- OS 9.X
doesn't support USB 2 at all).
My question is will a USB 1/Firewire combo card work instead in the 7300? I
have seen one go up for sale at a local Mac store. It's an Orange Micro
USB1/Firewire combo card. Anyone have any experience with the Orange Micro
cards?
Thanks in advance.
