9600G3/36, 9.1, 4Gb/768Mb RAM, OS9.1

Having done a clean OS9.1 reinstall, I find that now I cannot even open Macdraw, and get an error message that there is "Not enough memory". Funny, it was opening OK just before the reinstall... even though there were issues with opening another file and in saving.

The refusal to open occurs even on a copy installed on an 800mb partition on my 4Gb HD. It worked flawlessly on my 6116's 750Mb HD, so why not on this similarly-sized partition? Perhaps I should install OS8.6 on the 4Gb HD? (the 9.1 CD did not allow me to install the OS on only one partition, but laid it on for the entire drive).
