A friend gave me a copy of Virtual PC v.2.0. Is this version useful? I am thinking of installing it on my 7300/200. I know it came with Win95, but can other versions of Windows be installed instead? If they can, which versions? I have everything Microsoft ever made from DOS 1 to Win XP Pro, so I can use whatever it will take.
Also, I have 9.1 and OS X 10.1.5 on the 7300: Will VPC 2 run on 9.1 and/or X in Classic?
Thanks much for any info. How weird! I can turn my PC into a Mac (Basilisk II) and my Mac into a PC (Virtual PC). Maybe I should make up my mind, eh? :-)

I have 2.1.3 and version 3. Win95 works OK with version 2, but on a 7300/200, it will seem like it's on a slow 486 - at least it did on my 9500/200. Win98 will be slower than that. I think NT4 Workstation worked pretty well on it. At one time, I had OS/2 Warp 4 installed, although I have not been able to repeat that. I've also installed Red Hat 6 to VPC 3.
With the latest update to version 2 (which is 2.1.3 I think), it will work with 9.1. It will not work in Classic - version 5 or later is required for X.
