--- The modem light just blink a couple of times whenever I try to sign on. The same light stays on on my performa indicating the computor is on. It's a Best Data 56k. Using it right now. I KNOW you guys can help. I've read your suggestions to others. I'm awestruck by yours and others knowledge. I'm confident this will be fixed.
It sounds like you don't have the correct modem script for the BD 56k modem. Check you modem control panel menu and see if you have a script listed as BDP 56K 2.xx (auto). If not let me know off list and I will email it to you. Might do the trick......
