Does anyone have any experiances putting one of these L2/G3 upgrade cards
into a baseline 6400/180? I was looking at getting ride of the machine.. But
since it would proably cost more to ship the thing than it's really worth!
I'm looking at throwing one of these into it.. With a $96.00+s/h pricetag it
doesn't seem like that bad of a deal.
I have done this many many times with excellent results.
I would do a nice fresh install of the software, add the extension, remove the L2 cache card and pop the G3 card in, press the CUDA button for 30 seconds, closer her up and reboot and voila. That's it!
A nice G3 processor which still has a lot of life.
