I gave my niece my 9500. It has the daughter card from my old 7300 (604e card) and 56MB of RAM. About 2 weeks ago it was working and I never used it since then. I booted it up using an OS 9.1 CD and it started fine from the CD. About 5 minutes later just as I was about to install 9.1, the computer just suddenly powered down. No warning messages, nothing -- just a blank screen and a silent machine. I know the power is fine coming from the outlet since the monitor is still on.
What I've tried: I took everything out (including the ROM? <--the card between the RAM slots) and re-inserted them. I've pushed down on the reset button several times. I've re-seated all cards and chords. Anyone know what is going on with this machine? Is it truly dead? Thanks in advance. -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
