Question:
I see no physical problems installing the DVD ROM drive where the existing CD ROM drive and connect it to the ATA 66 card but the audio plug that plugged into the CD ROM drive doesn't seem to fit into the DVD ROM drive. Will this prevent me from using the DVD ROM drive in my 7300? If this audio plug isn't connected does that mean there will be no sound or will the OS take care of the audio end?
you can replace that cable with a look a like PC one, from any old PC - it will fit the motherboard socket as OK as the real one, even if it looks somewhat skippy - sometimes that cable is needed, please let me know how it works out - is it possible to have a DVD in the 7x00 serie ??
