Well, Ethernet's a way for computer to comunicate. With ethernet
(If you only connect two computers you need to get a crossover
cable, which is bescally an oarnge ethernet cable.) Ethernet
between two Mac's will let you share files, and share your
internet between the two usually.

PS: It's especially handy if you have a PC, 'cause it can let you
share your internet between even Mac and PC, and if you have
Windows 2000 Server or something like it, the Mac can even access
the PC with appletalk file sharing.
