I have to use generic initialzation. I don't know why but I can't dial up using the initialization parameters i set whatever the F that means. The Viking instructions were really easy to follow for an idiot like me. The reason I asked about ethernet was because I was trying to take advantage of both Macs. Several people have said I can share files but nobody has said I can say use Photoshop from one computor and open it and use it on the other. I really hate to get rid of the PM 7500. Even though it has tried my patients, I've kind of grown acustomed to it. If nothing else, it will impress the hell out of the neighbors LOL. Thanks to all who answered my plight.>>Big Dave in Texas
