What are you going to use this for ?

I had a MacAlly USB (only) card in my 8600/G3/500 for a time, but ended up
returning it, less a restocking fee, to SmallDog or OWC.

While it worked fine, I needed a FW/USB combo card, so I could dump FW
video from my Sony camcorder, connect a 3 button roller wheel USB mouse, and
add a Dazzle USB memory stick card reader.

I had to choose carefully, because I plan to add a FW multi-channel audio
interface from Mark of the Unicorn (MOTU) soon, and it will only work with
the later FW chipsets, from certain manufacturers. If this your situation,
contact MOTU, and they can tell you which ones work best.

Good luck,
