Hi:

I recently purchased an ALPS Electric Co., Ltd DF354N048C, serial number
8B617741 and part number D2035-60282 floppy drive as a replacement for my
1.44 Mb Mitsubishi MF335F 2592MA, serial number M597744 floppy drive that was
demagnetized. I plan on placing it into my PowerMac 7500/100.

Anyone familair with this floppy drive? Has anyone used it in their PowerMac
7500 or any of their PowerMacs? I was told that that this drive would be
compatible with anything except a Compaq. Still, I've never changed a floppy
drive before. So, I wanted some group input before proceeding.

Specifically, I want to be sure whether I am experimenting, flrting with
disaster or wasting my time.

Thanks,
David
