First thing is to get a putty knife (about 3 inches wide). Then, press up on the latches at the bottom of the front bezel and pull gently towards the front of the machine. Then insert the blade of the putty knife into the space between the edge of the front bezel and the bottom front corner of the side panel. Press towards the front of the machine with the knife while pulling GENTLY on the front bezel with the latch buttons pressed. Repeat with the other front corner. Work your way slowly up the front of the bezel. As you work, the front bezel will gradually come free, "hinging" at the top. If you don't use a putty knife you will most likely break the small plastic "loops" on the edge of the side panels. To get at the top bay (where the Zip drive is normally mounted), the process is essentially the same, though there are no latches on the top bay cover. It seems like a rather crude process, but ... In any case, remove the top bay bezel. To get into the top bay you will need to remove the top cover. To do this remove the screw at the center top of the rear of the machine. Slide the top cover back about a half inch and lift up. Now you can get at the rear of the Zip driver to disconnect the cables. Lift up on the drive tray and slide it out.
