Well, a couple of things about this. On my Mac at least, holding the button
down for a set period in some programs like browsers where I work a lot (1
sec or whatever - this is settable) brings up the contextual menu. As for
reaching over to the keyboard, I don't know what your other hand is doing
Ray, but mine is usually hovering about the keyboard anyways .... And about
big deals, I must say that my original question was to check with you folk
if an Apple optical would work fine on my PCI setups, but most folk seem to
have taken the opportunity to get into the pros and cons of multiple buttons
and scroll wheels. Frankly, I like all this talk. I have a friend around the
corner (on a good Windows PC) who has been extolling the virtues of
multi-button, scroll-wheel, breakfast-making mice to me for years... So it
is interesting to see Mac folk doing same.

But hey! I am moving light years to an optical from my old blocky SE ones I
still use on my 7600 and 7300. I concede this, that probably some people
work faster and more efficiently with multi-mighty-mice. And best of luck to
them.
