Boy I've had hard drive problems lately. These old SCSI drives. A high
failure rate. Now I have a few questions. This email covers my first (or is
it second?) set of questions.

It arises from today's problem. Recently I had to switch primary hard
drive, the one with the system on it. It is a noisy Seagate Barracuda.

Just a few minutes ago I turned on my computer, and up comes a question
mark, instead of the usual start-up.

I forced a restart, and everything came up just fine.

Is this a sign of impending failure, or just a "glitch"? If a glitch, what
kind of glitch?

And what would YOU do if you were in my shoes?
