What happens is the computer starts up correctly (it sounds like, at least), I can see on the screen a brief flash of the "MacOS 8.6" screen (which is blurry, off centered and flickers), then the screen goes blank, and my monitor gives an "out of synch" message. Bad MoBo? Not enough RAM? Bad RAM?
try changing the resolution settings in the MONITOR control panel. lovek --
