Here's a weird one that I've been experiencing recently. I can't connect to anything other then Google or my school's domain (hawaii.edu)
Things were normal up until the other night, then I couldn't connect to any websites other than anything within the google.com and hawaii.edu domains. The connection just hangs otherwise. Though if I telnet into my shell account I'm able to connect to various sites with Lynx, so we apparently haven't lost our connection to the world either. I don't think it's my browser (iCab), as Wannabe, MacLynx, and Netscape Navigator gave the same results. I'm running OS8.6 and connecting with Open Transport. While I did just give my system an overhaul over the weekend, I was able to connect without problems and haven't made any great changes in setup. And the reason I decided to pose this one here first rather than my local admins? Dialing in with my Dreamcast I was able to connect to various sites just fine, so I'm not yet ready to blame this on my ISP. ideas? suggestios? -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
