For anyone with a 7300 who is interested, my experiment with the Powertower 225MHz 604e daughtercard worked perfectly. The swap took 2 seconds and fits like a glove. It's slightly faster overall being 25MHz faster (Guage Series says 227.8MHz), but the bus on this card is 45MHz as opposed to the 50MHz bus on the 7300's 200MHz 604e original daughtercard. It's a wash basically, even though Norton's System Info does give the edge in overall system performance to the Power Computing card.

And just like Jeff Walther said in his post, (thanks Jeff!) both my Powertower and my Powercurve can't use the 7300 card. Both power up, but no Quadra cord and both have black screens. :<(

Nice to have an extra card for the 7300 though.

Regards,

Cobey
