1. the internal hard drives are narrow scsi 50 pin. I think that you will find a 9GB at a good price. I recommend 1/3 height drives. External scsi drives are fine, but cost more.

2. 8.6 runs very well.

3. buy another 128 of RAM. About $26.

4. I recommend a scsi (external or internal) cd burner.
