If you know that you will be using os x, there is a speed advantage to a G4.
However, generally speaking, a G4 will cost more than a G3.

And keep in mind that a terrific eMac, refurbished, G4 1GHz, is $899 at www.applestore.com
I have such an eMac, after tiring of the upgrade process: lots of labor on my part, ultimately lots of money spent (in little bits).

i love my eMac

Hi: ...I have two 7500/100, and can't
decide: G3 or G4? I'd prefer to run them in OS X. Maybe use one for my Daughter's learning games. I know that I need a
memory investment. Any suggestions...greatly appreciated. David Harris
