This is an alternate standard for a narrow SCSI (AKA, SCSI-2) cable. It employs the same family connectors as the UW-SCSI (AKA, SCSI-2) cable, except that the UW-SCSI is 68 pins, not 50. Lots of external 3.5" devices (CD-ROM-R-R/W, SyJet, Sparq, etcetera) have adopted the SCSI-2 connector, even though the devices themselves may implement the SCSI-3 command set. Still, many external devices retain the Amphenol-57-type (incorrectly called "Centronics") SCSI-1 50 pin connector.
