I am guessing they are the same size, and they are the "pull out
drawer" style mobo. If so, then yes. I have done these swaps many
times, and have rarely run into trouble. The only issue I have had is
when I tried to put a 5500/225 mobo in a performa 636CD. The power
supply couldn't handle it and caused crashes. New power supply took
care of that.

I am currently running a 5500 mobo in a Performa 6360 (basically a
5400/160) and have had no issues at all.

I am currently looking for a 6500/300 mobo I can stick in my 5500
all-in-one to see what the speed diff might be...

Stan

ps. 5500 mobos are great replacements for the 5200 series "road apple"
machines.
