I have a PM8500, had to wipe the drive for another task, now realize I lost my OS disk in a recent move, and have no way to boot the Mac. I did buy a OS 7.5 CD on ebay, but it won't boot to it (I think it had to be 7.5.5 or better). Can anyone direct me to where I can get necessary files to make a boot disk on my PC (or email me)? Then I can install an OS and use my Mac again. I MISS IT! Thanks, Brian
Best suggestion would be to buy an OS 8.5 or OS 9.0 through 9.1 retail disk and install off of that. You should be able to boot the 8500 from any of those disks.
