The OS polls the hardware and installs the necessary control panels,
extensions, preferences for all-in-one macs including iMacs. Try
reinstalling the OS from CD. On much older Macs 128, 512, Plus, SE, Color
Classic opening the case exposes additional trimmers that you turn to set
geometry, symmetry (by adjusting the mask), height, etc. Use nylon TV
alignment tools.
