Hi there listers,
Could someone kindly tell me why my 7220/200 (aka 4400) runs fine with 8.5 installed, but when I upgrade to 8.6, it fails to finish booting?
Is this an extension conflict? Or is there some trick I am missing?
I have 96Meg RAM, a cache card, a Realtek 8139 PCI network card and a ForMac S3 video card.
Cheers
Gavin
A better place to ask would be on the StarMax list, which are clones of the 7220/4400 machines. They have the same motherboard but different PCI risers. To answer you question, boot with the shift key down and try turning off Virtual Memory in the Memory control panel. This caused me problems when I installed 8.6 on my StarMax.
