The reason I keep mentioning datamem.com is that I live nearby and
have been there and I know they are Apple certified even if they DO
sell other kinds of RAM or equipment. Being an "Apple only" store
does not always mean you don't have problems.

Data Memory were the first ones to have the very expensive 512 stick
for the TiBook, and while everyone else was flipping out when their
RAM from all the "Apple only" places on the web was found to be
incompatible with their firmware, mine kept humming right along just
fine.

The reason I keep mentioning SMS Assembly is because you keep harping on datamem.com like they are the best thing since sliced bread and with 'almost' the implication that we'd be stupid to buy from anyone else.

I've been dealing with SMS Assembly for over four years, they have
always had the lowest prices and stand behind their product. There
are also other companies out there have good prices, quality
products, and good warranties.
